I received my PhD from the Bioinformatics Research Centre Department of Computing Science at University of Glasgow United Kingdom lead by Prof.David Gilbert. My PhD thesis entitled as , "A Novel Method for Comparing Topological Models of Protein Structures Enhanced with ligand Interaction Information". TOPS+ server is available here.
My short term project as a postdoctoral researcher from the Division of Gene Regulation and Expression lead by Professor Angus Lamond , Wellcome Trust Biocentre, University of Dundee was on "Development of a Splicing Factor Database". I have also worked in Dr.R.Sowdhamini's lab, at National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) is part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and is located in Bangalore, India. There I have developed PASS2: a Semi-Automated database of Protein Alignments organised as Structural Superfamilies.
Recently we have developed a Method - "TOPS++FATCAT: fast flexible structural alignment using constraints derived from TOPS+ Strings Model".
